Born in Cape Town 30 October 1960

Education

1977 Matriculated from Herschel Girls High School in 1977 (Won the art prize in 1976 and 1977)

1978 – 1980 Studied Graphic Design at the Cape Technikon

1980 Graphic designer at Rightford, Searle-Tripp and Makin Advertising (now Ogilvy and Mather)

1983 Travelled extensively in the USA, UK and Europe

1984 Moved to Johannesburg and worked as a photographic fashion model.

1985 -1996 Worked as a freelance food stylist on magazine editorials, advertising campaigns, TV commercials and cookbooks with South Africa’s best food photographers and food editors earning a reputation as one
of the country’s foremost food and lifestyle stylists.

1996 Won the Fuji Photographic Awards Gold Prize with Photographer Alain Proust in the Food Category

2007 Moved with her husband and daughter to live on Skopelos in Greece where she joined a weekly painting group run by a Massachusetts artist and art academic. The limited materials available on the island
sparked her interest in finding a resourceful approach to her creative expression.

2009 Returned to live in Cape Town where she continued painting.

2009 – 2013 Represented by Rose Korber

Her works has been sold to collectors in New York, London, Chicago, Philadelphia, Sydney, Dubai, Sweden, Cape Town and Johannesburg. She works from memory and paintings becomes a meditative process in which she participates with subconscious aspects striving foremost for honesty and simplicity of thought.
