The largest cause of death in Africa is HIV and Aids, with the
majority of people infected with the disease living in Sub Saharan
Africa. While there is no cure for this epidemic yet, medical
scientists have developed drugs that can control the virus. This
means that with proper treatment, those infected can now live
a productive life. The virus, which is mainly transmitted through
sexual intercourse, has greatly affected the lives of young adults
on the continent. It seems the only effective prevention is to
abstain from sexual activity. Maybe there should be a drug for that.
